Assistance can be requested from the SIF by choosing one of the following sub-menu options:

• Request Assistance with Interoperability - this category of assistance covers questions and issues regarding the decisions and intricacies of using the GEOSS-registered standards, special arrangements, and services to realize the sharing of data.

• Request Assistance with Registration of Resources and Standards - this category of assistance covers questions and issues regarding the process of registering components and services into the Components and Services Registry (CSR), and the process of registering standards and special arrangements into the Standards and Interoperability Registry (SIR).

• Request Clarification on Standards or Special Arrangements - this category of assistance covers questions and issues regarding the understanding and use of specific GEOSS-registered standards and special arrangements as they pertain to services being accessed or developed.
